TUALATIN — It’s a story that a truck driver will live to tell about thankful that he escaped with his life.

He hit the brakes to come to a stop Monday afternoon on Tualatin-Sherwood Road at Martinazzi.  The load of steel beams slammed into the cab.  The driver ducked just in time to avoid getting hit.

If this sounds familiar, a trucker from another company had a similar fate just last month on the same road when he was cut off in traffic.  Steel beams punctured the back of the cab and went all the way through the windshield.
