Impact of crash involving a motorcyclist in Ridgefield, WA
PORTLAND — Monday was not a good one to be on the roads, especially for motorcyclists with three separate deadly accidents. The first two were on the west side in the morning and another in the afternoon up north.
A man riding his motorcycle on Cedar Hills Boulevard in Beaverton tried to pass traffic and hit a vehicle that was stopped at a light to make a turn. 35-year-old Adam Jarman was thrown off the bike and hit by another car at the intersection with Huntington Avenue around 8:30.
About an hour later just north of Forest Grove, a driver and passenger were killed when they pulled out in front of a box truck on Highway 47 and Verboort Road. 18-year-old Kiden Dilla was behind the wheel and 19-year-old Ayan Osman in the passenger seat. Both from Northwest Portland were students at Pacific University. The driver of the box truck had little time to react. He was not injured.
The third of the day happened on Interstate 5 in Ridgefield. A motorcyclist was killed and the driver of an SUV was seriously injured when it rolled over at the Carty Road overpass. A pick-up was also tangled up in the collision, but that driver was not injured. Traffic backed up for miles onto I-205 in Salmon Creek.
