The family of the late Jessie Cavett – who’s name is now Jessie Doyle says they are not happy about a possible plea deal between the Multnomah County D.A. and confessed murderer Joshua Cavett.

Josh shot his estranged wife in the head in her Gresham apartment and on October 12th, 2013.  He did it in front of their two children, then took the younger child with him leaving Jessie for dead.

Jessie’s sister Jenny tells KXL’s Lars Larson the D.A. has been presented with a plea deal.  Josh would plead guilty to Murder 1 in exchange for one life sentence.  But, the family is concerned that after 25 years he could possibly be paroled.

A plea deal meeting is scheduled for April 14th.  Jenny says the family is planning a public rally on the same day.
