Newberg, Ore. –¬†Application Denied. A transgender student at George Fox University is not allowed to live in the men’s dormitory.

The sophomore at the Christian college has filed a complaint against the university. Jayce has been undergoing a female to male transition for the past few years and next week a judge will issue a court order affirming his gender. But the university is still not recognizing this transition. Our news partner KGW talked to students who are standing by Jayce.

“It’s just ridiculous. It’s completely discriminatory. I do not agree with it at all. I think that he should be treated like any other male because he is male”.

Jayce says the university is proposing a housing policy based on biological birth sex. George Fox released a statement saying there dorms are single sex because of there theological commitment.
