Vandals Caught On Camera Trashing Woodburn Country Club

Written by Jeremy Scott on April 3, 2014

WOODBURN – Vandals left their mark at the Estates Golf and Country Club, a community for seniors in what’s anything but a prank.

There were at least fifteen incidents of houses, golf carts and vehicles being sprayed with silver and yellow paint.  Phone and cable wires were also cut.

Whoever was up to this appears to have a vendetta against the senior community for their views on a freeway interchange project as indicated by the note they left behind at several homes.

“I’m not going to pretend to know what the people who wrote this note were thinking.  I don’t know if it was retaliation, to send a message,” said Jason Horton with the city.

The incidents happened at homes between Cascade Drive and Oregon Way likely overnight on April Fools.  The homeowners and utility companies will be responsible for cleaning up the mess left behind.

There are two suspects on surveillance video.  The city is offering a $500 reward to catch these bandits.
