PORTLAND — Lead by city council candidate Nick Caleb a small group of demonstrators took their fight to increase minimum wage to $15.00 per hour.  they say this should be the living wage standard for workers in the city of Portland.

“Last week the people of Chicago saw the light and approved the increase to $15.00 per hour. 87 Percent of voters in that city wanted that,” said Caleb.  His plan is to pressure The Portland City Council to act for the betterment of businesses, workers, and all residents of the city.

The goal is to declare every Wednesday “Living Wage Wednesday” where supporters will wrap around city hall shouting singing and chanting  for a wage they can live on.
