Vancouver, Washington A Skyview High School students was recently caught taking a picture underneath a teacher’s dress with a cell phone. The Vancouver School District says it takes the incident seriously. Mike Stromme Associate Superintendent says. ” This is absolutely not a situation of kids being kids. Students make mistakes it’s our responsibility to make sure they understand the consequences of their actions.”
the school district works carefully with students how they can appropriately use technology. The student handbook that’s shared with parents outlines regulations concerning technology use and at all times teachers have to grant permission for use. Stromme says “It’s a continuous effort educating parents and students on how technology is to be used as a learning tool in the classroom.” The names of the student and the teacher have not been revealed. The Clark County school resource deputy is conducting a separate investigation of the incident. The district spoke with the student’s parents and did impose discipline according to school guidelines.
