Portland, Oregon – The cat that attacked a baby and  trapped a family in a bedroom is back home. The family had turned over the 22 pound cat  to Multnomah County Animal Services earlier this week, but then decided they wanted it back.

The agency returned Lux to the family today after determining the cat is healthy and shows no evidence of abuse. Animal Services Director Mike Oswald says “we take any complaint about abuse and neglect very seriously. Investigators determined there was no indication of animal abuse in this instance.” A local cat behavior specialist has offered their services to help Lux’s owners.

Lux’s story has attracted national attention. He’ll be featured on the Animal Planet show, My Cat From Hell.
