Vancouver Police Search for Hit and Run Suspect

From a Vancouver Police Press Release: On March 13, 2014 at approximately 5:38 a.m., Vancouver Police were called to the area of NE Andresen Rd./E Fourth Plain Blvd. for the report that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle that fled scene. When officers arrived they located a male with life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital and no condition is available at this time.
Police located a vehicle abandoned in a parking lot behind a McDonalds just south of where the collision occurred that they believe may be the involved vehicle. The suspect was not located and may be on foot. A K9 track in being conducted in an attempt to locate the suspect.

The Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit will be investigating and road closures in the area of Fourth Plain/Andresen are expected throughout the morning. Commuters should be prepared for lane closures and detours as investigators are in the area.
