PSU Professors Take a Strike Vote

PORTLAND, OREGON   The American Association of University Professors (PSU-AAUP) are holding a strike vote on Campus today and tomorrow.  A YES vote by faculty is authorize the bargaining team to a call a strike if the Administration does not agree to a fair contract offer.  Final contract offers were submitted by both sides March 3, 2014.  That triggered a thirty day “Cooling Off” period.

Teachers are voting from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM Tuesday and Wednesday in the Smith memorial Student Union Center.  The vote is closed to non-members.  if the professors do walk off the job that could happen  as early as the beginning of Spring term.
