A Parkrose high School student was walking to school when a stranger came out of nowhere and sexually assaulted her within a mile of Parkrose High school.
North Precinct officers were called to Parkrose High School at 1:09 p.m. on a report that a student was in the office, reporting a sexual assault by a stranger, Portland police said. The teen told officers that she was sexually assaulted Monday morning near Northeast 131st Avenue and Prescott Drive. Sgt. Pete Simpson said he did not have the exact time of the alleged assault, but suspected it was sometime between 8 and 9 a.m.
According to Sgt. Simpson from a recent press release, “The Portland Police Bureau would like to remind community members that stranger-to-stranger sexual assaults fortunately are a rare occurrence, and the Bureau makes every attempt to share this information as soon as practicable,”
The male suspect was described as between 18 and 25 years old, 6 foot 1 inch tall, 220 pounds, with a medium-length Afro with twists, and wearing a jacket with black sleeves.
