Talons Tangle When Bald Eagles Fight in SE Portland

A Southeast Portland neighborhood is captivated this morning by a pair of bald eagles stuck in a tree. Two males were fighting over territory when they got trapped high in some branches.

Just as rescuers arrived, the birds untangled and flew away. Susan Barnes with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife says the extent of the injuries is unknown, but that bald eagles are particularly resilient.
