PORTLAND — A dive tucked inside a trendy neighborhood off East Burnside has attracted producers of two television shows, including “Portlandia“.
“I feel like our interior is very unique. It’s not a cookie-cutter style, it’s very artsy and mid-century mod looking and holds a certain character,” said Eugen Binghman, who owns the place with his wife Lenor.
They’ll be featured on two more episodes in April. Portlandia airs on a new night, Thursdays at 10pm on IFC.
Part of an episode of “Grimm” was also filmed at the Slide Inn, which was turned into a coffee shop for a day and a half. Curious fans check out the place once they’re clued in on where it’s at.
Bingham added: “Most ‘Grimm’ followers are definitely a certain type of personality, and we actually get a fair amount of people that come here just because of it.”
