For the second time this weekend rescue teams scramble to help people capsized in the water. This afternoon two men out geese hunting tipped over in their canoe in the Sandy River after hitting a log.

One man traveled a mile and a half down stream before he was able to  grab some debris. That’s where the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office river rescue team pulled him out. The other man made it to shore safely. Both men  had their life jackets on.

On Friday a kayaker drowned after falling into McNary Lake near Sauvie Island. He was not hearing a life vest.
