Oregon Lawmakers go after IT Contractors

Oregon lawmakers approve a bill that would require more scrutiny of big state technology projects, such as Cover Oregon.

Republicans said the legislation wouldn’t have done anything to prevent the mishaps that have plagued Cover Oregon because it focuses on contractors, not the state agencies in charge. They called on Democrats to pass a bill that would set up a legislative task force to investigate the problems behind Cover Oregon.

The bill passed the House and now heads to the Senate.
