PORTLAND, Ore. — Classic Collections on Southeast Hawthorne  is one busy place.  Companies from across the United States furnish the store with all kinds of hats from the very casual to the extremely elegant.

Manufacturers such as Stetson, Biltmore and Christie’s of London  are represented at Classic Collections two locations.  A second store is on the lower level of Clackamas Town Center.  Hats range in price from just $18.00 to $500.00 . The average price of a trendy hat is $86.00.

Manager Rebecca Lucas says, “Hats seem to make a come back every 20 years or so.  The fabrics are rich and beautiful.  Teens love them and so do adult men and women who remember growing up with them.”

I’ve been wearing a rather beat up fedora for years. It helps keep the rain off my neck and ears better than a baseball cap.

I have bought a few hats at classic collections. I have shopped at both stores and found the employees to be extremely helpful in trying to find the right hat for me and not trying to push something on me that they’re trying to get rid of or something that was much higher price than I was looking to spend.
The owner and staff are very knowledgeable about the many hats and products in the stores and if there Is something that they dont know or can immediately answer they will have the answer for you rather quickly.
it is always a pleasant shopping experience at their stores weather I buy something or just try on a bunch a hats and leave.
