PORTLAND, OREGON With over 600 weather related vehicle crashes since last Thursday both insurance companies and Auto body shops are seeing an increase in business. Mackin’s Auto Body on S.W. Capitol Highway expects this week and next to be busy.
Debra Sheldon General Manager, says most of the crashes involve bumper damage . “It’s either the front bumper or the back one that takes the brunt of the tap. Sometimes it’s drivers getting to close and other times they just can’t stop in time.” Sheldon says the average cost of repair runs between $1,500.00 and $2,500.00 depending on whether the under carriage is involved.
