A Slush Day Briefing

Written by Mike Turner on February 10, 2014

The City of Portland and Tri Met give themselves high marks for their work over the weekend.

City Commissioner Steve Novick says city crews plowed thousands of miles of major roadways to keep people moving.

Tri Met’s Mary Fetch admits there were some glitches on MAX because of ice on the wires and problems with some switches but most of the buses kept running.

As the heavy rain approaches storm drains need to be cleared while Novick says the next big push will be to pick up all of that sand laid down during the storm.
