VANCOUVER — Two men appeared in court on Wednesday the day after a man’s body was found on the side of a road near Vancouver Mall.  On Thursday, police said they arrested a third person.

21-year-old Craig Moritz was found not breathing next to a vacant lot on Vancouver Mall Drive and Northeast 77th early Tuesday morning.  There are conflicting court documents that say Moritz was shot in the back or chest.

“This was a violent crime that occurred as a result of a drug deal gone bad,” said Senior Deputy Prosecutor Kasey Vu.

21-year-old Jon Hensley and 19-year-old Shawn Fortner will be arraigned on murder charges in two weeks.  Zacheriah Douglas was arrested in Forest Grove on an outstanding warrant.  Police say he’s the alleged shooter.  Douglas is awaiting extradition to Clark County.
