What would you think of a bar that serves a drink it calls “Date Grape Koolaid?”    Sounds close to  date rape, doesn’t it?   It’s happening in downtown Spokane at the Daiquiri Factory.  It’s also making some people angry.

“Date Grape Koolaid” has turned Daiquiri Factory into a protest target. But it doesn’t seem to care.

The company that holds the trademark on “Koolaid,” Kraft, is appalled someone would use its brand for a drink that trivializes rape.  Kraft is threatening to go to court.

The Spokesman-Review says a post on the bar’s Facebook says they sold 10 gallons of “Date Grape Koolaid” Saturday night.
