A former Washington State Patrol lieutenant has been arrested on a warrant alleging multiple sex abuse offenses The Clark County Sheriff’s Office made the announcement last night.
Kenneth S. Garrison of Vancouver was arrested Wednesday night at the Rodeway Inn & Suites in Gresham. Sgt. Kevin Allais with Clark County says a Portland area SWAT team and suburban Gresham police assisted Clark County officers.
“This case was very unique because of the nature of it and that it did involve a lieutenant,” says Allais. “But every case is treated the same way.”
Allais says 51-year-old Garrison resigned suddenly from his position last month. He also served as a lieutenant colonel with the Washington Army National Guard, where he retired on Monday. Allais tells KXL that both resignations are connected to the case.
Garrison is expected to appear Thursday in Multnomah County Circuit Court in Portland.
