One Year Later: Driver Still Wanted in Deadly Hit & Run

Written by Jeremy Scott on January 21, 2014

BEAVERTON, Ore. — 18-year-old Harley Rocher was hit by a car and killed last January while walking from work to his girlfriend’s house.  Police have still not found the driver who left him for dead.

Rocher was walking along on Southwest Laurelwood Avenue around 8:00 on the evening of January 15th, 2013 when he was hit from behind.

Evidence from the scene shows that Harley was hit by a teal colored vehicle.  Authorities still don’t know if it was a passenger car or truck.  They’re asking anyone who may have seen a damaged vehicle with possibly a teal colored bumper or hood to come forward.

There have been many tips over the past year, but none have led to the identification of the vehicle or driver.

“We are again asking for help in bringing some type of closure to Harley’s family.  We hope by bringing Harley’s death again to attention might bring some helpful information,” said Officer Mike Rowe.
