Written by Mike Turner on January 20, 2014

Hundreds lined up for Free flu shots at Legacy Emanuel Hospital Monday. A volunteer staff spent their MLK service day administering vaccinations for the large crowd. Legacy is reporting 650 confirmed cases of the flu virus. Much of it is the H1N1 virus that can cause serious problems for those who catch it. Some have been put on life support as a result and a few have died from the virus. It will take about two weeks before the vaccinations begin to work.
