The state of Oregon says a Gresham bakery  violated the civil rights of a same-sex couple when it would not bake a cake for their wedding.

The Bureau of Labor and Industries says Sweet Cakes by Melissa will now be forced to try and reach an agreement with the couple that filed the complaint.  If no agreement can be reached the bureau may bring formal charges.

Under Oregon law, services may not be denied based on sexual orientation.  The Owners of the bakery say they have been told by their lawyers to not talk the media right now.
