Homeowner Catches Burglar In the Act

Written by Jeremy Scott on January 16, 2014

PORTLAND — Although the guy didn’t get far when he tried to break into a home in Southwest, police are still trying to track him down before he strikes again.

The homeowner returned to find a man in his late 30′s or early 40′s trying to break in to the house on Terwilliger Boulevard and Lobelia Street around 9:45 on the morning of December 3rd.

The man ran off and likely left in a car, said to be a silver Honda Accord two-door.  He’s described as white, 5’7″ with a thin build, red hair in a crew cut and a red mustache.

The homeowner helped with this sketch.  Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who can lead police to their man.
