Portland is dealing with pretty typical weather in mid-January, plenty of clouds, some fog and mist, but if you can head east or west for about 30 miles, you will find sunshine! High temps on Mount Hood made it into the 50′s and over at the Oregon Coast – Wednesday was a chamber of commerce day. Beach walkers basked in sunshine and warmer temps. Astoria, Seaside and Lincoln City all hit the mid 50′s, Newport made it to 60 degrees.
KGW Meteorologist Rod Hill says if it wasn’t for the Cascade Range, Portland would be drenched in sunshine too!
