Identities In Strip Club Shooting

PORTLAND — A gunmen shot three people inside Mystic Gentleman’s Club at Southeast 99th and Stark on Saturday night before being shot himself by a bouncer.

Brian Rizzo, a 26-year-old security guard at the club remains in critical condition.  Nichole Procter, 27, and 31-year-old Gonzalo Zamora-Hernandez are recovering at home.

The shooter was critically wounded.  Police released his identity on Tuesday.  43-year-old Thomas Hjelmeland is still at the hospital awaiting charges.

Jon Baer returned fire on the suspect in self-defense and has not been charged with a crime.  His weapon though has been seized for the investigation.

There have been a history of problems at the club.  A man was shot and killed in the parking lot in the summer of 2012.  A woman who was later found murdered at Blue Lake Park in Fairview last October met her suspected killers at Falco’s Pub, which shares the same address.
