VANCOUVER — No doubt there were tense moments at Frontier Middle School on Monday morning that sent the building into lockdown.
A student brought what turned out to be a toy gun to class. Authorities have not said why the kid had it. The Evergreen School District does not allow items that can be mistaken as weapons on school property.
“We didn’t want rumors going out and people worrying. There was never any danger to students this morning,” district spokeswoman Gail Spolar told KGW.
In October, a boy brought a real gun and ammo that he says he was going to use to shoot a classmate and himself.
