Earlier this morning police located a car believed to be involved in Thursday evenings pedestrian hit and run on Southeast Powell Boulevard near 31st Avenue. A suspect associated with the car has been identified but not arrested.
The car turned up in southwest Portland. The man who was hit 22-year-old Max Martin remains in critical condition.
Neighbors are calling for changes on that stretch of road. Including a better crosswalk and more lighting in the area. ODOT is taking many things into consideration.
“We are studying Powell. We are studying a lot of the roads going through city to see where there are safety problems and figure out where we can best allocate our resources to make sure we can make these roads safer.”
