The trial of the woman accused in the hit and run deaths of two Forest Grove girls began in Washington County. The father testified that he had taken pictures of the girls playing in the leaves and had gone in the house to put away the camera when he heard a speeding car and a loud thump outside. He returned to the pile of leaves and found his daughters. One dead. The other severely injured. She later died at the hospital. 18 year old Cinthyia Garcia admitted in a taped confession that she thought she had hit a rock when she drove through the pile. She is charged with Felony Hit and Run.
