Portland, Oregon – More bricks at Pioneer Courthouse Square will be getting names this year. 200 people paid $100 each for their own, personalized brick over the holidays. The square’s Theresa Vetsch-Sandoval says the names will be added when its drier, probably in late June.
All the bricks on the floor of the square have been spoken for. So, the new additions will be placed on the square’s upper tier. Brick sales have been going on since before the square opened almost 30 years ago. The square turns 30 on April 6th and Vetsch-Sandoval says they are planning a big birthday bash.
Among the names you’ll find on bricks at the square are Bilbo Baggins, Mr. Bill and Barry Manilow.
