Emergency rooms have been flooded with new cases of the flu every day. A lot of them the H1-N1 or “Swine” Flu strand.

“Every shift has had at least one or two positive cases. Now most of those have been admited to the ICU”, said Dr. Mo Daya who works at OHSU.

There have been at least two flu related deaths in Oregon. A five-year-old boy from Eugene  died last week. Doctors had been trying since Christmas to save the boy.

Doctors say it’s not too late to get a flu vaccine. They say the peak flu season runs through April.
