Stayton Man Tries to Fool Police by Changing Clothes

Written by Steve Herman on December 30, 2013

Stayton Police caught up with two people who tried to out run them in a car and later on foot.

A deputy tried to pull a Honda Civic over for a traffic violation when the car sped off. The cars slowed and 32-year-old Cheyenne Moore got out of the vehicle and ran. Officers caught up to her and she was arrested. The police were able to stop the Civic after using spike strips.

29-year-old Jerry Simpson made a run for it on foot and entered a friends home. He changed clothes to try to convince the police that they had the wrong person.  He was arrested. Police found meth and other drugs in his car.
