Local Boy Plays Ron Burgundy’s Son In Anchorman 2

Written by Pat Boyle on December 27, 2013

CORNELIUS, Ore. — The 7-year-old Washington County boy who plays the son of Ron Burgundy in Anchorman 2 will be signing autographs in Cornelius tonight.  Judah Nelson will make an appearance from 6-7pm at the Cornelius Stadium Cinemas.  He says he’ll also hand out postcards to movie goers after they’ve seen the film.

Judah says Will Ferrell was funny and nice to work with.  He says memorizing his lines was hard and says his older sister helped him out with that.  He says the funniest part of being in the movie was working with Dobie, the mechanical shark.

Judah is a second grader who is home schooled and lives in rural Washington County.  His agent is in L.A. which is where he auditioned for the part.  He got bitten by the acting bug after snagging a role in the pilot of Portlandia.

Judah has seen the move four times already and when asked what he would like to do next, he said “Well, I hope to continue acting and I would like to try drama.”
