VANCOUVER — Hours before the Monday deadline at midnight for Washington residents to sign up for health insurance, the website where people enroll was down for scheduled maintenance.
A spokesman for Washington Health Plan Finder says the closure was extended a few more hours to run some applications that had previously been stopped by error messages. The website wasn’t back online until nearly 9:00 in the morning.
People in charge say the maintenance and repairs will allow more people to come back and complete their enrollments. The state says people who start their applications by midnight tonight will have extra time to complete them for healthcare coverage starting January 1st,
