Two Great Danes that attacked a Camas-Washougal firefighter earlier this month have been labeled “level-3 aggressive’” That’s one step below having to be put down.
The animals attacked volunteer firefighter Michael Reude as he responded a medical call. The dogs belong to the patient who was being treated,
Animal Control has finished its investigation, Camas Police sergeant Scott Boyles says the dog’s yard must have a secure, 6-foot, fence. When the dogs are outside the fence they must be muzzled. Boyles says breaking those restrictions would bring stiff penalties.
Reude is expected to fully recover.
