VANCOUVER, Wash. — A 6′ tall Nutcracker has been stolen from a family’s front porch and they’re hoping it turns up somewhere before Christmas. The family lives on Northwest Thunderbird Avenue in a neighborhood that usually doesn’t see a lot of crime.
The family says they woke up one day late last week to find it was gone. The Nutcracker statue has been in the family for years and has great sentimental value.
Police says the Nutcracker weighs 75 pounds and would not be all that easy to remove from the front porch and stuff into a car. The police department hopes someone spots the missing decoration and calls.
