Trimet Helps Reduce Holiday Shopping Traffic

Written by Christina Kemp on December 13, 2013

As we inch closer to Christmas, shoppers are flocking to the mall.  Trimet will help reduce congestion out at Clackamas Town Center. Buses will be rerouted out of the parking lot starting Friday Decempber 13th and will continue all weekend.

“We have found that the congestion in the parking lot can get pretty intense. So our buses in past years have been somewhat stuck in those and it creates delays through out the line,” says Trimets PIO Roberta Altstadt.

10 routes will be affected. Buses are being rerouted to Fuller Road.

Detours – lines 28, 29, 30, 31, 71, 72, 79, 152, 155, 156

Buses will not serve the Clackamas Town Center Transit Center (stop ID 13248) and the Clackamas Town Center Mall stops (stop IDs 12921 and 12922) near the movie theater from
1 p.m. until 7 p.m. on the following days
