TUALATIN, Ore. — He’s only been the acting CEO of Cover Oregon for a week, but already, Dr. Bruce Goldberg is willing to step forward and admit that there are still several problems.

“I realize people are confused and disappointed.  Cover Oregon is nowhere near where we want to be,” he said.  Goldberg does not expect the website to be operational until after January.

Fewer than 10,000 people have been enrolled and eligibility has been verified for more than 28,000.  The goal is to have 100,000 applications processed by January 1st.

400 staff members are working  24/7 to get people affordable healthcare.  A call center is now operational.  The hours have been extended and the number of phone lines expanded by 100.
