A 17 year old medically fragile teen is being sought by Portland police and they are asking for your help. Family members say Jasmine Hayes voluntarily left her home in SW Portland Monday. They tell police she is medically fragile and has a medical condition  that could endanger her welfare if not treated. They are also worried about the sub freezing weather.

Central Precinct officers have been using  infrared technology in the Gabriel Park area, but have yet to find any sign of her. They think she left on foot and say foul play is not involved.

Jasmine is described as a white female, 5’5″, and weighs 95 pounds. She has straight, shoulder length, brown hair and hazel eyes. She was wearing a dark brown, fleece jacket, an orange or gold colored knit cap and white scarf. She could also be carrying a white bed sheet.

You are asked call 9-1-1 if you know anything about Jasmine’s whereabouts. If you have additional information, contact Detective Mike Weinstein at 503-823-0446 or mike.weinstein@portlandoregon.gov.
