Austin Croshere former NBA player and current analyst for the Indiana Pacers joins The Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano to talk about the Pacers and Blazers game tonight.
Over a busy career Croshere had moved between many NBA teams before settling down in sports broadcasting. Croshere never really thought that broadcasting would be the position for him after he got out of the NBA. With the experience that Croshere has gained over the last few years he has taken it to the broadcasting circle with lots of good input with current events.
“You can tell when your part of an organization that does things the right way, that hires good people. I thought that the teams that I was on had success and did a good job of mixing veterans players with young players. I thought I was very fortunate early in my career to maybe not play as much but play behind great players and really learn how to do thing the right way”.
Croshere spent a lot of time on the road which took a while for him to get used to when he started his career with the Pacers. But he looks back at all the times he had while playing for the Pacers and loved every minute of it.
With the Blazers being on a long road trip with multiple games and not many breaks Croshere could see the Pacers taking advantage of that exhaustion from the Blazers and push them to the brink right off the bat.
“Yes without question, because I think that mentally you are just drained at the end of a trip”.
Croshere believes that the Pacers will make the Blazers work hard to keep up with them on the court and subdue them in the beginning to surrender fast. Croshere thinks that a 12 to 16 point lead will get the Blazers to give up and think about going home and getting the win next time.
