Plane Crash Kills Two

November 27, 2012, 1:38 am

A plane crash took the life of two men, nine miles away from Albany Oregon. It happened around 3:30PM near Brewster road, and Highway 226. Highway 226 remained closed until ODOT could clear the road, but were unable to until investigators finished. The Linn County Sheriff's Office and the FAA are investigating the crash. Details on how the crash occurred have not been released. We have confirmed that one of the fatalities in the plane crash was the cousin of former Oregon State Representative Jeff Kropf whose name is also Jeff Kropf. There are four Jeff Kropf's in the family. We spoke with the former Oregon State representative who said "Jeff was up flying with another pilot up in his airplane, and they were apparently sight seeing North of Lebanon near Scio, made a turn and the wing came off the airplane".
