Oregon's Twinkie Future?

 tree huggers have filed suit to stop 900 acres of logging in the Elliott State forest. Cost to the state school fund…nearly 10 million bucks. The state has now pulled the sale and is planning to try 465 acres elsewhere…and you can just about guarantee the enviros will try to stop that too. 

Almost all logging on federal lands has stopped. State lands are overgrown with trees that will just burn someday if not logged. Private timber sales are also under attack. And a state that used to count good, family wage timber jobs in the tens of thousands has seen lumber mills scrapped and half the state’s counties so poor they can’t pay for deputies, jails or schools. 

If you want to see Oregon become a gigantic park where the only jobs are pumping gas and pouring coffee, then I’m sure you don’t mind. But unless you want a Twinkie future for Oregon its time to stop this insanity.
