Black Friday Shopping Comes Early

Many retailers, including Macy's, WalMart, Target and Toys R Us are opening on Thanksgiving night, to give shoppers a jump on Black Friday deals.  Many outlet malls have been doing this for years, including the Woodburn Company Stores and the Columbia Gorge Premium Outlets in Troutdale.  But a part-time Target employee in Nebraska has sent a petition to his employer, asking them to go back to opening at 5am Friday morning.  He says being open on Thanksgiving and staying open all night takes people away from their families.  At last check, 100,000 people have signed the petition but Target says it's only responding to what customers want.
Do you go shopping on Black Friday?  Would you go shopping on Thanksgiving night?  There are always long lines and backups on the freeways at the two outlet malls, so its obviously very popular.  Personally, I can't imagine anything I would want so badly that I would fight those crowds!  But maybe I'm missing something.  What kind of deals are you finding out there?
