Archie Manning joined us about a month ago to talk about his son, Peyton, and his recent move from the AFC South to the AFC West.  Fortunately for us, Manning made an encore appearance Tuesday to talk about Peyton's play for the Broncos and to weigh in on some of the BCS madness that has gone down in recent weeks.

Manning began by giving Texas A&M and quarterback Johnny Manziel they’re due credit for such a great performance on Saturday.

“You’ve got to take your hat off to that bunch at Texas A&M.  They’re brand new to that conference but it looks like they’re fitting in pretty good…I’m familiar with their coach, Kevin Sumlin – Did a great job at Houston, used to be at Oklahoma – and you get a special football player, other people rally around him and that "Football Johnny" is pretty good.”

Manning also talked about the Oregon Ducks and what he expects from them for the remainder of the season.

“I have a hard time matching up anybody with Oregon.  I love to watch them play.  I just love fast break football and the athleticism they have.

And last but most certainly not least, Chad wanted to know what Archie had to say about his son, Peyton, and what he’s been doing for the Broncos.

“Peyton really like this team.  He really likes his coaches, likes the young receivers, likes the way the defense can get after people.  I think if they can keep doing that…kind of get to where they’re leading during games and let the Von Millers and Dummervils and those people come after people...they’re going to keep getting better.

Take a listen to the interview and be sure to cast your vote for the Liberty Mutual Coach of the year at coachoftheyear.com Two of the finalists will probably come from right here in Oregon.
