The next three weekends we're in Walla Walla, voted the "most friendly city in America", and it's easy to see why. We're staying at the historic Marcus Whitman hotel and were greeted by Jonathan, who gave us a behind-the-scenes tour and history of this spectacular hotel in the heart of Walla Walla.

We didn't have to go far to find our first winery. The Don Carlo Vineyard is located inside the Marcus Whitman Hotel, right on Rose Street--- you can't miss it! Tim Kennedy, the man who created Tim's Cascade Style Potato Chips, is the owner of Don Carlo Vineyard along with his wife Lori, who's the winemaker.

Their vineyard is actually located in Oregon, right across the border in Milton-Freewater. We're very impressed with the people, places, food and wine in Walla Walla. In fact, our dinner at the Whitehouse-Crawford restaurant last night was one of the best I've ever experienced, we highly recommend it! Cheers, BB
