Remembering Don McIntire
Don McIntire (far right), Bill McCormick and yours truly in happier times (*finishing a Sunday morning cigar breakfast at Jake's). I wanted to talk about the passing of Don, who is a tax hero to millions of Oregonians whose taxes were reduced by literally BILLIONS of dollars because of the tireless efforts of this man.
He advocated for limited government, free markets, and personal liberty for Americans. Don spent his own time, his own money and his blood, sweat and tears on ballot measures that improved the lives of Oregonians...many of whom never met the man or knew him.
His great friend Greg Clapper told me today that he and Don went hunting last week, had a great time, and he seemed well. A heart attack took his life the state of Oregon is missing one of its citizen heroes today.
Here is an interview I did with Don a couple of years ago. I hope you enjoy it!
