Woman Beaten and Bloodied by Ex-Husband

Van like what Howell might be driving

A Beaverton woman and her boyfriend were attacked in her home early Saturday morning by the woman's ex-husband while three young children watched.

30-year-old Phillip Howell is accused of breaking into the victim's home and seriously assaulting the couple. Police have released pictures of the victim, but we are not posting them due to their graphic nature.

The woman was hospitalized over the weekend for her injuries. She talked about her harrowing ordeal in hopes of finding her ex.

Howell is black, 6'0" tall, 165 lbs with short black hair. He drives a blue 2001 Dodge Caravan with Washington license plate ACF1073. Police say Howell may be in Woodburn or Salem.
