Romney's Grand Slam!
You know
you’re in trouble when MSNBC’s Chris Matthews loses the tingle in his leg and
starts shouting that the President should watch more cable TV for debate
pointers. Last night was a fantastic
victory for Governor Mitt Romney. And
President Barack Obama looked like he wanted to be anywhere else on the
planet. Like back on the campaign trail
giving speeches to adoring audiences who don’t ask him tough questions. Or out on the golf course with his
buddies. Anywhere but on a stage in
Denver with guy reminding him that for all the hopey changey stuff the economy
stinks, unemployment is high, the deficit is growing instead of shrinking,
gross domestic product is growing slower today than it was two years ago.
And all his favorite lines…about tax breaks
for companies that outsource to China, and tax breaks for millionaires…all
those lines that work with the complacent press corps on the rare occasion he
deigns to answer questions…they’re not working.
This is what happens when a child of privilege…educated in private
schools, ivy league college, President of Harvard law review without any
writing, Nobel peace price for nothing…and a staff that tells you you’re the
smartest guy in the room…and suddenly for the first time…you’re fighting just
to keep your job…and a national tv audience sees the proof in front of them
that YOU’RE NOT.
We had Congressman Greg Walden on the program today, and he had nothing but great things to say about Governor Romney's performance...
