Smith, who raised less money than Hales in the primary, earlier called on his competitor to limit contributions.
"Let's do this the Portland way," Hales said.
This makes little, to no sense in my book. Why would a candidate want to limit the amount of money that his campaign can raise? Perhaps it's because he's not receiving that many contributions in the first place.
Hales's competitor, Jefferson Smith, joined me today on the Northwest show, and I asked him if he would limit his contributions.
